Specialized One-on-One Engagements
Acadian Media currently takes on information technology
projects on a singular basis in order to provide the highest
level of customer support. However, if you would like to
discuss ideas about your next Web based initiative, we would
be more than pleased to assist you with the analysis and
planning phases of the project. If we're unable to assist
you with the implementation and support phases, we can
recommend suitable partners to help you with your IT needs.
Here is a brief overview of the types of engagements we
take on:
- Site Building - High level Web site
design (UI) and development. We emphasize the use of Web
templates to save our clients valuable time and money by
customizing predefined architecture and graphic designs. Why
pay to re-invent the wheel?
- Search Engine Optimization - We design
sites with Internet search in mind. We advise our clients on
the best methods for content development, metatag and search
engine placement.
- Search Marketing - We help clients
define and place keyword advertising on a number of
advertising networks.
- Affilate Marketing - We suggest methods
of leveraging a client's Web site traffic to help them
offset hosting and maintenance fees.
- Mobile Web - We assist clients in the
development of companion mobile Web sites designed
specifically for mobile phones such as Pocket PCs and
Smartphone's.

We Utilize Open Standards
In most instances, Acadian Media follows open industry
standards when recommending, coding and supporting software
for it's clients. For example, the company recommends software
that follows open standards specified by industry organizations
such as the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and Internet
Engineering Task Force (IETF).
Likewise, the company recommends software that is often
considered the de facto standard, such as Microsoft Windows and
Exchange Server. Although Windows and Exchange are proprietary,
the systems are widely supported throughout the world offering
customers a level of comfort unmatched in the industry.
On occasion, our company may utilize so-called open source
software that conforms to newer "Web 2.0" standards. Open source software is
typically a community driven process whereby tens of thousands
of programmers contribute to the development of operating
systems, browsers, and application software. Unfortunately,
finding unified support may sometimes prove difficult to obtain.
